About
NAME OF COMPANY: Sex Education Australia (SEA) FOUNDERS: Justine Kiely-Scott & Jenny Ackland DESCRIPTION: SEA offers students in primary and secondary schools the opportunity to gain accurate and age-appropriate information that is delivered in a relaxed and non-judgemental way. We also aim to support parents to learn and gain confidence to talk to the children in their care about topics related to sexuality and respectful relationships. SEA is not affiliated with any religious or political organisations, or lobby groups, and acknowledges, and is sensitive to, the wide-ranging values and beliefs that we know families have in our communities. We also know, though, that no matter a child’s background, all young people need access to accurate, fact-based information that will help them as they grow and develop.
Purpose
Sex Education Australia (SEA) has been in operation for 10 Years. Our health human development programs (in the domain of sexuality and relationships education) offer students the opportunity to gain accurate and age-appropriate information that is delivered in a relaxed and non-judgemental way.
Expertise

Podcasts

That Sex Ed Podcast
This is a podcast for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents. Join co-founders of Sex Education Australia, Justine Kiely-Scott and Jenny Ackland, as they discuss the topics parents can find difficult to talk about with their children. Jenny and Justine put their ‘teacher hats’ to the side as they chat more informally about WHY we should be talking as parents (because if we don’t, someone else will! Definitely popular culture/porn/kids at school, and maybe even another adult who doesn’t have your child’s best interests at heart). Knowing WHAT to talk about and WHEN, and HOW parents can better manage these conversations will help caregivers feel more confident and capable of supporting their children as they grow up.
